Legal Assistance was provided to Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh in the City of Abovyan

On 22 March, 2024, the Lawyer of the “Strengthening of Rights Protection Mechanisms of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno Karabakh” Project provided free legal advice to 12 forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh. The legal advice was provided in the framework of the project in the city of Abovyan.

During the meeting, the Project Lawyer Miss Marianna Avagyan, clarified a number of issues of concern to the people of Artsakh, which were mainly related to the social support programs provided by the RA Government to forcibly displaced persons; the procedure for obtaining a temporary protection (refugee) certificate, conditions for the appointment of age pension, documents confirming the length of work and deadlines for accepting inheritance.

Ms Julietta Arustamyan, Executive Director of “Harmony” Shushi Women NGO, who is the Chairwoman of the Governing Board of the Network of CSOs for the Protection of the Rights of Forcibly Displaced from Nagorno-Krabakh, took part in the meeting as well.
